“A piece demanding piano playing with high authority
– which Ida Andersson delivers.”
Blekinge Läns Tidning

With concerts in the Nordic countries, Germany, Austria, Italy, United Kingdom and China Ida Andersson is an established classical pianist. Her poetic voice and broad technical abilities has made her a sought-after soloist and chamber musician.

Ida was born on the Finnish-Swedish Åland Islands. She has received diplomas from The Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen and Musikhochschule Lübeck and is now working with Copenhagen as a base. Her attentive musicality makes her a requested chamber musician and accompanist and she frequently performs with instrumentalists and singers. Ida has specialized as a liedpianist with teachers as Helmut Deutsch, Malcolm Martineau, Olaf Bär and Bo Skovhus.

In 2015-16 Ida received prizes in international chamber music competitions in Italy and Slovenia. She has also been granted awards and generous scholarships from the Danish Arts Foundation,  the Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland, Konstsamfundet, The Augustinus Foundation and Alexander Stoffregen’s Foundation for young, gifted pianists.

In spring 2018 Ida was invited to perform a chamber music tour in China with cellist Amy Jolly, giving concerts in Shanghai, Xi’an, Yangzhou, Harbin, Jiangmen, Jining and Dalian.
