Classical pianist with diplomas from The Royal Danish Academy of Music, Copenhagen, and Musikhochschule Lübeck in Germany, with her final diploma in 2015. Important teachers have been Jens Elvejkær, Bohumila Jedlickova, Marianna Shirinyan and Jacques Ammon. Ida has a broad background with additional training in conducting, composing, as a vocal coach and with historical instruments like the harpsichord.

Born on the Finnish Åland Islands, Ida Andersson is now living and working with Copenhagen as a base. She performs frequently in the Nordic countries and in other parts of Europe. Previous performances have been in the Athelas New Music Festival, Katrina Kammarmusik, Summartónar Festival, Beethoven Festival in Tivoli concert hall and as a soloist with chamber orchestra “I Classici”. Along with performing, Ida is currently receiving musical coaching from Laurent Boullet in Berlin.

She has received several cultural grants from both Finland and Denmark, such as Alexander Stoffregens grant for young talanted pianists, Hertha Duu’s memory fund, Konstsamfundet and Svenska Kulturfonden in Finland.

Current collaborations are Duo Hudler-Andersson with Austrian cellist Peter Hudler, Trio Estera and a lied duo with soprano
Noora Karhuluoma.
